Inside Line Promotions – RAPID CITY, S.D. (July 21, 2017) – Andee Beierle made big strides racing in front of her family and friends during a weekend of competition close to her Bismarck, N.D., home.

Beierle and BDS Motorsports raced into the A Main last Friday and Saturday with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour at Black Hills Speedway, which hosted the Rushmore Rumble.

“I’m so thankful for all the family that came out to support me,” she said. “Racing is about memories and experiences and it was really cool to be able to share that with all of them and make new sprint car fans.”

Beierle showed over the weekend she is gaining confidence in her first year of touring with the ASCS National Tour and only her second season in a 360ci sprint car.

On Friday she started toward the tail of her heat race and was unable to advance. However, in the B Main she maneuvered from sixth to a fourth-place finish to transfer into the main event, in which she battled to a 16th-place result after starting 20th.

“I passed cars in the B Main and that hasn’t happened the past few years,” she said. “It showed how much I’ve improved over the summer … the little things that have transpired.”

On Saturday Beierle was unable to finish a heat race, which started her 24th in the main event. She picked up a trio of positions to finish 21st.

“We had engine issues all weekend,” she said. “The car just wouldn’t go. We didn’t get the results we wanted, but I drove the car as hard as I could. But that’s part of racing. We will address that and get it fixed.

“Overall it was a great weekend. I had never been to Black Hills. I was a bit surprised. It was such a cool track and had more banking than I thought. For some reason that track suits me. I look forward to going back.”

Beierle will tentatively return to action on July 29 at Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa, and July 30 at Mason City Motor Speedway in Mason City, Iowa, with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour.

SPONSOR SPOTLIGHT – Super Shox

Super Shox began in 1997 with the idea to build an aluminum mono tube gas shock for sprint cars and midgets. The company began manufacturing late model shocks in 2011. Super Shox launched the SR1 line of rear shock absorbers for Harley Davidson FLH and Dyna models in 2015. For more information, visit http://www.SuperShox.com.

“Super Shox is a team sponsor of BDS Motorsports,” Beierle said. “They sent us some shocks and I put them on my Harley. With those shocks on my bike … they are adjustable for weight … it feels like a boat on smooth water. They are absolutely phenomenal shocks.”
